The First Lift on Sunnyside

A T-Bar is built and a part-time ski rescue service is established by local GP Dr Paul Mackenzie. Volunteer Scouts and Guides were the first "Ski Patrollers".

The Plastic Slope Poma Opens

The piste really was plastic, however silt running off the hills clogged up the matting and this was later removed, the name stuck though.

The Sunnyside T-Bar replaced

Replaced with a new Poma lift. This was doubled up with the addition of Sunnyside-2 the next year.

Cluny Poma

The “middle valley” opens up with the construction of the first Cluny Poma.

Glenshee’s second chairlift opens on Sunyside, along with a new poma on Meall Odhar.

The Dink-Dink beginners lift opens

Caenlochan poma opens alongside the original T-bar on Meall Odhar.

The original Cairnwell chairlift is replaced and upgraded with the new triple chair.

Opening of the Snow Roads Scenic Route

Snowfactory snow making system installed.

Cafe open 7 days a week 8.30am - 4.45pm ( last orders for hot food 3pm)

The chairlift will remain closed until the winter season , we plan to open for snowsports on 21st Dec 24 with man made snow on 2 x beginner runs and 1 x intermediate, more if we get enough natural snowfall .

Online bookinigs will open from 1st Dec for the holiday period , or you can pay on the day at the ticket office
